All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. —Isaiah 54:13
Since BCA is a ministry of the Bethel Assembly of God, it adheres to the doctrinal statement of the General Council of the Assemblies of God. Click here to find out more about the Assemblies of God and our beliefs.
It is our view that the God who is revealed in the Bible is the Creator of all things. Specifically, He is the Creator of all mankind, made in God’s very image. Thus all knowledge, education and wisdom begin with seeking to understand what has been revealed to us by our Creator about Himself and His creation.
Starting from that premise, education then becomes a search for truth as defined by God Himself. We do not seek knowledge apart from God but with Him. Since He created all things, He can thus help us to understand all things. We believe that no education is complete without God as the center of it.
Education then proceeds by accumulating, sorting and analyzing what mankind’s God-given intelligence is able to derive from observation, test and reflection upon his surroundings. Because God gave mankind the capacity to “have dominion” over all He created, it is ours to study, develop and master, within the limits of our humanity.
God’s likeness in us also seeks to be expressed in creative ways. Since our Creator is imaginative, unique, and self-expressive, we who are a smaller reflection of Him seek to express ourselves in unique, imaginative and self-revealing ways. Art, architecture, music and all the humanities are examples of our God-likeness seeking expression.
THEREFORE: Bethel Christian Academy is an educational ministry which has as its intent:
1.To help children to know God, through Jesus Christ, while seeking to know the truth about the things He created.
2.To direct and assist children in developing whatever God-given gifts they may posses.
To prepare children with knowledge and skills needed to succeed and excel in the world which God has created for them.
